Meeting Time and Venue Change

posted Oct 19, 2015, 12:13 PM by Sunset Ridge

At our September neighborhood meeting we voted to change the date of the monthly meeting to the 3rd Monday of every month instead of the 2nd Tuesday.

Unfortunately, our current venue of the Scottish Rite Masonic Center cannot accomodate this change.

For the time being, and taking advantage of the cooler months, we will be meeting in the main pavilion at the Sunset Ridge Park at 7pm.

Potluck Picnic Celebrating Sunset Ridge Park Upgrades

posted May 9, 2013, 7:52 AM by Sunset Ridge

Thanks to all who came out to our Potluck Picnic last Saturday!

Thanks to the dedication of our neighbors, Steve Haughn from the city's recreation board, and our commissioners for voting in favor of it, our park has received many upgrades that we can be proud of, such as the new playground equipment and swings, a new bathroom, a new parking lot next to the playground, new security lights around the perimeter of the park, landscaping upgrades, and underground wiring.

It's not definite yet, but more upgrades are in the works, such as a new sand volleyball court, more lights, and pavilion upgrades.

The soccer field is constantly being used, and families are always seen on weekends using the pavilions.

And remember, to reduce criminal activity we need to use the park even more!

Here are some pics from the picnic, thanks to Mary Lindsey!
