A Message from our President: | ||
| Greeting's everyone, I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving, and is ready for our December Holiday Season. At our last meeting we made some decisions that we hope will make attending our meetings easier for many. There will NOT be a December meeting so everyone can enjoy their holiday season. Starting in January of 2008 we are moving our meeting to a new day. Our meeting's will now be held the 2nd Thursday of each month. We decided this so we no longer conflict with the city commission meetings and it should also make it easier for us to bring in guest speakers that are part of our dais, city and community. We are currently working on bringing in the CRA for the January 10th meeting. The meeting time will remain at 6:30 pm and at the Lake Worth Christian Reformed Church at 1325 North A St. We hope everyone finds these changes as exciting as we do and allows more people to attend. Here is some additional information city related I thought people may want to know about. Bryant Party Holiday Party at South Shores Tavern & Patio Bar in Lake Worth. December 17th from 7pm to 9pm. All Lake Worth neighborhood association members welcome for the evening and will receive discounted drinks and complimentary finger foods. 50/50 raffle. All invited. www.southshorestavern.com Saturday December 8th at 11:00 in downtown Lake Worth on Lake and Lucerne is the Christmas Parade. Saturday December 8th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm the College Park Home Tour, see attached document with more details. Lake Worth Playful city grant money information and link for voting. Just be sure to vote for The City of Lake Worth video project. Also, the deadline for voting is December 21. www.playfulcityusa.org/grant Would you like to help Lake Worth Recreation? Now is your chance! Lake Worth's Recreation Board has recently applied for a grant requesting $25,000 to add a mini soccer field in Lake Worth. This is something that is desperately needed for the city. We created a short 3 minute video to advertise our project and now we need as many votes as we can get! Please take a minute and go to the website below to vote. You must register your email to be able to vote, however the company has promised not to sell it or spam you in any way. In addition, please share this email with anyone else who you believe might help us in our efforts.
